Today, the size of the energy consumption of refrigeration equipment has become an important indicator to evaluate its performance. This article discusses several ways of saving energy at home and abroad in the design of refrigeration units in recent years. The energy saving of refrigeration equipment can start from improving equipment structure, improving refrigeration cycle, using waste heat and developing new energy. According to the calculation example of a single-stage compressed-steam refrigeration cycle, the loss coefficient of each part in refrigeration cycle (the percentage of energy loss in each part of the total actual energy consumption) is: the loss coefficient of non-isentropic compression process is 8.15%
