高尔基的著名小说《马特维·科热米亚金一生》,无论在我国还是在苏联等国,历来都是评价很高的,从未见过持异议的文章.如说它是“一部精采的小说”,“一部县城的社会哲学史”,“一部社会主义现实主义作品”,“具有重大意义”,“帮助了无产阶级的政治斗争”,“作者可以以此书引为自豪”,等等.就是高尔基本人也津津乐道他昔日描写的奥库罗夫镇.自作品发表七十多年来,它蜚声文坛,好象已有定评了.但笔者经过多方面的反复研究,认为这部作品的主导思想政治倾向是错误的,现用文字表述出来请教于同行,希望通过争辩,能得到合乎作品实际的科学评价.
