一九七七年春蚕阶段,林蚕双方就白僵菌的使用对家蚕生产是否造成为害,在安吉县东风林场部分地首次共同进行了试验。试验分别采用了从罹病松毛虫和家蚕体上得到的两株白僵菌,对易于染病的二龄起蚕和五龄熟蚕作不同孢子浓度的喷蚕体接种试验,考查致病力的差异。二龄起蚕试验在恒温铝质饭盒加盖补湿条件下进行。试验结果表明:对蚕致病力,东风208松毛虫白僵菌比江苏家蚕白僵菌低100倍,染病死亡率随菌液浓度提高而增加。同为二龄起蚕,同一菌株,高浓度下,饭盒加盖补湿饲养与饭盒不加盖加温加湿饲养,前者发病100%,后者仅0.33%。桑叶是可能从野外带入白僵菌孢子到蚕室与蚕接触而造成发病的重要途径。根据利用东风208菌株对二龄、五龄起蚕、五龄熟蚕试验结果表明,带菌桑饲蚕,以五龄起蚕发病较高,1900万孢子/毫升菌液喷桑二小时后采叶喂蚕,发病死亡5.05%,五天后降至0.98%。二龄起蚕和五龄熟蚕的试验(1200万孢子/毫升)均为0.5%,一天后则全不造成染病。林间带菌环境条件下养蚕,在50亩松林内喷东风208菌粉70市斤,三龄起蚕在喷菌后三小时进林间蚕棚,直至上簇,2518条蚕无一白僵死亡。东风208菌株在中间供试浓度范围内,出现轻微病斑的蚕有自愈反应,之后也并不再次发病。综上所述,本试验结果与过去林业部门试验所得结果相同。林间用白僵菌防治松毛虫对家蚕生产不会造成为害。
