The secretory immunoglobulin system contains a series of complex activities that attach the dimeric IgA secreted by mucosal plasma cells to the mucosal epithelial cell synthesizing components and then translocate through the epithelial cells to the mucosal surface with the secretory component IgA complex. In the large intestine and small intestine, immunofluorescence and immunoperoxidase methods have been used to demonstrate the relationship between inflammation and neoplastic lesions and the secretion of immune function. However, there is very little research on the stomach. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of the components of the secretory Ig system in the normal stomach and lysozyme, and to observe their changes in gastritis, metastases, and gastric cancer.
