Atrial fibrillation may be a fatal arrhythmia in patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndro-me (WPW). The rate of ventricular pre-excitation during atrial fibrillation in these patients depends primarily on the ratio of the anterior (AP) ) Electrophysiological properties. This study systematically evaluated the electrophysiological effects of lidocaine on APs and the ventricular response to AF in 10 patients with WPW. Methods Ten patients with post-prandial WPW without sedation were treated with lidocaine by local anesthesia. The multi-lead catheter was percutaneously inserted into the peripheral vein.
