This book is a collection of essays by Ba Jin’s research written by the author for more than twenty years, including the exploration of the early anarchist movement in Ba Jin, the interpretation of masterpieces such as “Perdition,” “Family,” and “Restoration Park” Since the study of Ba Jin and China’s contemporary research paradigm of reflection, etc., and another author and many Chinese scholars dialogue and interviews. In the process of argumentation, the author cites a large number of original first-hand literature, which shows us a diachronic image of Ba Jin and reflects the strong literary accomplishment of the author. What is especially rare is that as a foreign scholar, the whole book is well-rounded and can clearly show the writer’s thinking. Therefore, this is a masterpiece of Ba Jin’s research.
