本期的目标是李国文先生。在老一辈作家中,李先生是相当活跃的:产品多,思路宽,文笔活,而且喜欢引经据典。这就难免会应了一句老话:言多必失。对此,李先生是有思想准备的。他曾说过,“常在河边走,哪能不湿鞋”?天天在弄刀枪的武士,难保不失手。读者帮忙指点出来,实在是“善莫大焉”。 不过,这毕竟是短兵相接,是直言不讳。即使胸怀宽广如李先生者,还是会生出一种尴尬——“好像在公共汽车上,被当场逮住的小偷的那一种尴尬”。这句话颇令我们犹豫,甚至有点不忍出手。说心里话,我们是尊重李先生的,没有想到“小偷”也不希望李先生自己想到“小偷”;即使从李先生的作品中寻觅一些疏漏,也不过是变换一种方法,传播语文知识而已,不想存心出谁的洋相。区区苦心,还望李先生见察。 当然,我们自知不是“东方不败”,“咬”得不是地方,李先生尽可“撇嘴一笑,付之一嗤”,或者干脆“向我开炮”,编者在此谨候指教。 在本期“众矢之的”栏截稿日3月20日之后,以李国文为目标的稿件仍然源源而来,甚至在发稿日4月1日过后,还有稿子寄来。在此,我们再一次提醒读者,本栏目每期的截稿日为该期上推三个月的20日,如第9期的截稿日为6月20日,以此类推。请广大读者配合。
