80年代末,90年代初以来,无论是翻译界人还是出版人都热心予翻译与翻译出版。尤其是出版人对翻译出版这块大有开垦价值的园地有了新的关注,尝试着以新的突破口寻求新的增长点。于是译作出版空前繁荣,越来越多的外语人士投身于翻译作品,出现了以往未曾有过的翻译热潮和高潮。另一方面,翻译论著的出版也开始渐露头角。如湖北教育出版社自90年代以来所推出的《中国翻译词典》、《中华翻译研究丛书》以及相关的翻译类图书就是其中一例。进入新世纪,翻译要发展、翻译要进步.翻译要严肃,翻译要受到人们的尊重等诸多问题,仍将是中国译界每一个专家学者、有识之士以及每一位有志于促进翻译事业进步的出版人应当关注、思考与研究的重要课题湖北教育出版社对外编辑室主任唐瑾女士有鉴于此.邀约京沪宁汉有关专家进行了一次颇有内容的“翻译七人谈”,本刊特子选载;
Since the late 1980s and early 1990s, neither the translation industry nor the publishers have been enthusiastic about translation and translation. In particular, publishers have given new attention to the translation and publication of a land of great reclamation value and are trying to find new growth points with a new breakthrough.
