Recently, Dow AgroSciences and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Institute of Crop Science in Beijing signed a cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, Dow AgroSciences grants the Institute of CropScience its grant of research and commercial licensing of its patented EXZACT® Precision Genome Editing Technology, and the CropScale Institute of Agricultural Sciences can apply the technology to Chinese domestic rice without royalties but not transfer. Dow AgroSciences and CropScience Institute crop scientists will collaborate to develop the industry-leading platform for rice genome editing technology. The EXZACT® Precision Genome Editing Platform will help scientists at CropScientific Institutes accelerate the translation of scientific research into valuable products by harnessing the expertise in rice genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and cell biology.
