At the 1983 Finnish Construction Technology Exhibition held in Leningrad in the Soviet Union, a small lightweight block was exhibited. This block is mainly used to build the walls and foundations of low-rise residential, industrial and warehouse buildings. The raw materials of the blocks are cement cement ceramsites, which are produced by a molding process with first pressing and then vibration treatment. There are many kinds of block size (see figure), but its basic modulus remains unchanged: 190mm high, 590mm long, and 75mm to 380mm wide.
