This is the interim results report of the GDMB (German Association of Mining and Metallurgical Workers) Reserves Gradation by Geostatistics and the summary of the Symposium held in Dusseldorf on February 2, 1982, on the grading methodology . The GDMB team recommends: - choosing the most economically sensitive parameters of the deposit as a basic reserve grading parameter; - determining the level of reserves by a fixed confidence level (90%) and a variable error limit (see table 2); - Define the “core reserves” that can be extracted for 3 to 5 years as reserves of the “Rating Blocks”; - Calculate the error limits of geo-mathematical statistics according to their respective dispersion extensions.
