文学审美性是作品文本作为内容与形式完整统一的形象化体系而具有的可以引发非功利情感的功能特性。文学作品的文本相对于社会生活而言,是符号性的存在,不能使人经由实用功利需求的满足而获得快感,因此具有非功利性,并以此构成其审美性。文学的整体属性和作用是审美的、非功利的;而文学整体属性的组织成分中,既有形式表现因素又可以有功利内容因素。文学文本整体的非功利性不否定文学作品内容及社会效用的功利性。
Literary aesthetics is the functional characteristic of the non-utilitarian emotion possessed by the text of a work as a visualized system in which the contents and forms are completely unified. Compared with the social life, literary works’ texts are symbolic in existence and can not make people feel pleasure through satisfying the needs of practical utilitarianism. Therefore, the literary works have non-utilitarian features and constitute their aesthetic qualities. The overall properties and functions of literature are aesthetic and non-utilitarian. The organizational elements of the overall properties of literature include both formal and utilitarian elements. The non-utilitarian nature of literary text as a whole does not negate the utilitarian nature of literary work and social utility.
