1994年,北京人艺批准了巍子的辞职。从此巍子真正过起了独自闯天涯的日子。 巍子虽然离开了人艺,但人艺精神已经融入了巍子的血液之中。巍子说:“这五年北京人艺给我留下的最宝贵的财富是这个行当的敬业精神。人艺最大的长处是严谨,导演也好,演员也好,创作态度都非常严谨,对待艺术一丝不苟。都说人艺‘十年磨一戏’,我看正是这种严谨,是人艺能成为中国话剧事业最高殿堂的主要原因。在北京人艺,老艺术家有着非常执著的精神,艺术氛围非常浓,我是地方剧团出来的,地方剧团的排练厅就跟超市似的。在人艺只要不是休息时间,就没有人可以大声说话。如果带着BP机的,一到排练厅,都赶紧关掉了。我虽然离开了人艺,但对我的影响却是永远的,我觉得可以受用一辈子。”
