当前图书馆界在使用书袋卡的问题上,存在着应当废弃和不能废弃两种观点。前者认为,图书馆每天都在做各种书面记录,采购图书做查重记录;图书流通做读者每天到馆记录;做每天读者借阅图书类别和数量统计记录,有了这些记录,完全可以替代书袋卡的作用,因此书袋卡没有多大用处。后者认为,图书馆的工作,一是藏书建设,二是读者工作,这两项工作都与使用不使用书袋卡有着直接的关系.笔者持后者的观点。
