In order to observe the photoperiod response of the Streblospio benedicti Webster, a member of the North American North America and the Gulf of Mexico, we designed two 2 × 2 factor tests that scrub the two wild-collected The larvae are cultured under four light and temperature conditions. The experimental results show that, although the Japanese do not affect the survival rate of razor worms, but it affected a series of growth and reproduction parameters. Increasing day length and constant long-day light have a similar accelerating effect on growth; a long decrease leads to a slowed growth of the worms. The percentage of young hatchlings kept the same with the increase of day length, while the number of young hatchlings per hatchling increased. The percentage of young hatchlings decreased while the number of female hatchlings increased. The mechanism of this reaction of the larvae to the photoperiod provides an explanation for the seasonal variation in the number of wild populations. This article is the first to report the photoperiodic response of the polychaete in Sedentaria.
