我們轻化工职业中学,是根据中小城市中小型工厂多的特点而举办的一所綜合性的半工半读的工业学校。它的前身是一九五八年創办的鎮江市軸承职业中学。以往招收的全是小学毕业生,开設有罐头、制药、火柴、造紙、印刷等班(组)。学生通过三年的半工半读,毕业以后,主要到有关的工厂当技工。现在,这种半工半读的教育制度,越来越为广大的劳动人民所喜爱,很多职工紛紛将自己的子女送进我們的学校,許多工厂都向我們要学生。为了适应社会主义建設事业的需要,今年暑假,我們又增办了轻工、化工、造紙三个高中专业班,进一步培养既能从事体力劳动又能从事脑力劳动的新型劳动者。我校还处在試办阶段,在办学的过程中,我們对培养目标和学生读书与劳动等問題,作了初步的探索,取得了如下一些粗浅的经验和体会。
Our light chemical vocational secondary school is a comprehensive semi-reading industrial school based on the characteristics of many small and medium-sized factories in small and medium-sized cities. Its predecessor was Zhenjiang Bearing Vocational Middle School founded in 1958. In the past, all graduates were primary school graduates and had classes (groups) such as canned foods, pharmaceuticals, matches, papermaking, and printing. After three years of work and part-time reading, students graduated to work as a mechanic in a related factory. Now, this kind of part-time education system has become more and more popular among the working people. Many employees have sent their children to our schools. Many factories have asked us for students. In order to meet the needs of the cause of socialist construction, we have added three high school special classes in light industry, chemical engineering, and papermaking this summer to further cultivate new types of laborers who can both engage in physical labor and engage in mental work. Our school is still in the pilot phase. In the process of running a school, we made preliminary explorations on the training objectives and students’ problems in reading and labor, and achieved some superficial experiences and experiences as follows.
