自从本刊开展“应该怎样看待参加农业劳动和升学？”的问题讨论以来，陆续收到许多读者参加讨论的稿件，其中有个人的看法，也有集体讨论的意见，除本刊六月号和本期发表的几篇外，今后还将继续选载。为了使讨论逐步深入，本期发表了夏培茂、李玉碧两位同志的文章。这两篇短文牵涉到的主要问题是：第一，高中毕业生目前到农村去是不是“英雄无用武之地”，所学知识无处用；第二，是不是只有升学才能“继续深造”，参加农业生产就只能做“锄头柄”，不能做“高楼大厦的骨干”。希望读者针对这些问题发表意见。
