文学作品往往蕴含着一个特定社会,丰富的人类智慧和文化背景信息,是具有强大生命力的语言教学工具。然而,在我国大学英语阅读教学中却一贯忽略对文学的有效利用,导致学生对很多英语文学作品只识其名而不知其意,严重影响了学生对于英语的理解、学习和应用能力。文章从文学的视角出发,分析文学作品在大学英语阅读教学中被长期边缘化的原因,并给出相应的改进策略。
Literary works often contain a specific social, rich human intelligence and cultural background information, is a powerful vitality of language teaching tools. However, in our college English reading teaching, the efficient use of literature has been neglected. As a result, students are ignorant of many English literary works, which seriously affects students’ ability of comprehension, learning and application of English. From the perspective of literature, the article analyzes the reasons why literary works have been marginalized in college English reading teaching for a long time, and gives corresponding improvement tactics.
