娃娃鱼、棘胸蛙、鲟鱼、胭脂鱼是被列入国家重点保护名录的水生野生动物。近年来,江西省根据国家有关法律法规,一方面切实保护好这四种水生野生动物的种质资源和栖息环境,一方面加强科技攻关,对其人工驯化,合理开发利用水生野生动物资源,逐渐形成了独树一帜的江西渔业“四特”产业。2012年,全省“四特”产量近3000吨,产值2.5亿元;今年1—8月份,全省“四特”产量3500吨,产值达2.56亿元,超去年全年总和。预计未来3—5年,产量可达1万吨,产值可达10亿元。
