白城地区沙荒面积大,营造薪炭林有广阔的天地,为寻求沙荒地营造薪炭林的适宜树种,我们于一九八○年开展了引种试验。现将三年的初步试验结果,整理如下。一、试验基本概况选沙荒面积比较大的通榆县,四井子公社林场设置了引种试验地。面积共3,780平方米,土壤为风积沙土,有机质含量为1.06%,速效N56PPm,速效P4.5PPm,速效K为13.8PPm。试验树种为沙枣、沙棘、锦鸡儿、胡枝子和紫穗槐,其种源分别为内蒙、青海、辽宁和吉林。一九八○年春,用我所培育的一年生实生苗,人工定点,挖坑植苗造林,每穴植苗一株,株行距为0.5×1.8m。按一般的抚育管理,每年只除草松土两次,未加别的措施。
