第一,要用好中国网。这是第一层网。目前,国际互联网上90％以上的信息是英文信息,中文网站所占比例只有1％左右,中国人使用十分不方便,这与中国是世界上的人口大国、经济大国、信息大国的地位是不相称的。中国迫切需要建立自己的网络。建设中国网包括两项工程:第一项工程是建设中国C网。第二项工程是建设互联网中的中文网站。要善于高度概括和提炼中华民族的文化精华,通过精巧的加工制作,使中国的美好形象展现在世界各国人民面前。
First, we must make good use of China Network. This is the first layer of the net. At present, over 90% of the information on the Internet is in English. The proportion of Chinese websites is only about 1%. Chinese people find it inconvenient to use this.
