中国仪器仪表学会于1979年4月成立。现有会员9,300名。第二届理事会选出了23人组成常务理事会。中国仪器仪表学会相继成立了18个专业学会,20个地方学会及科普工作委员会和各种刊物的编辑委员会及编辑部。到1982年年底共举行了各种学术会议541次,参加人数达38,000人次;宜讲与交流学术论文4,200篇。学会还派出了15个代表团参加国际上有关的学术会议,宣读
China Instrument Society was established in April 1979. Existing members 9,300. The second council elected 23 people to form standing council. China Institute of Instrumentation have set up 18 professional societies, 20 local societies and popular science work committees and various publications editorial board and editorial department.
