一、中国诗歌的起源无疑,中国并非诗歌的经典土地。她并没有为世界贡献荷马(Homer)、索福克勒斯(Sophocles)或者品达(Pindare)。中国缺少史诗,戏剧也没有达到希腊悲剧甚至印度戏剧那么高的水平。虽然我们不能不认识到她的欠缺,但也不能否认她拥有一种真正当得起“诗歌”之名的诗。中国人的精神完全不导向产生鸿篇巨制的长诗、戏剧和史诗等宏大观念。直到很晚,近两百年以来,中国产生了一定数量的、可将其纳入史
First, the origin of Chinese poetry is no doubt that China is not a classic poem land. She did not contribute Homer, Sophocles or Pindare to the world. China lacks epic poetry, the drama has not reached such a high level as the Greek tragedy or even the Indian drama. Although we can not but recognize her shortcomings, we can not deny that she possesses a poem truly worthy of “poetry.” The spirit of the Chinese does not at all lead to grandiose ideas such as long poem, drama and epic which produce grand monographs.
