近年来,国外临床发现,职业性手掌根部神经干综合症的病人迅速增多。这种病人大多是夜间发病,在睡眠中感到手指剧烈疼痛,而被疼醒。疼痛之外伴有酸麻的感觉。此时手指难以用力,但早期发病后检查握力并不降低。有时感觉到手指仿佛肿胀起来,实际上手指并没肿胀。随着病情的发展夜间发作次数增加,疼痛加重,有的白天也出现疼痛,连手部的皮肤也出现麻木感,此时病情加重,握力降低。数年以上的病人有的出现手部肌肉或大鱼际萎缩。
