In southern Africa, we not only learned about the Republic of South Africa, but also learned about former Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and South West Africa (Namibia). On our continent of Africa, human rights have been most brutally trampled in the seventeenth century, among the three colonized countries by the British and the Boers. Although the contrast between the European repressive machinery and the resistance of the African peoples is extremely disproportionate, the African people have never stopped fighting for human rights. Their resistance began in the era of the kingdoms of Africa and lasted until today. What we are going to briefly describe here is the history of the Long March for the freedom of the African people. However, let us first recall how Europeans settled down in southern Africa, especially in the Republic of South Africa.
