This article summarizes the author’s recent work on the anti-calcium effect of tetrandrine (Tet) and discusses its clinical application. In the experimental results section, the author introduced the relevant experimental data and results in detail on action potentials, coronary vessels, and uterine smooth muscles of the heart and cardiac myocytes. In the discussion, it was proposed that Tet is not a beta-blocker, but has a distinct and extensive effect on the heart, and can cause myocardial excitation-contraction decoupling.
