伴随着法国文化年在华启幕,法国印象派绘画珍品展从2004年10月至2005年1月先后在中国美术馆、上海美术馆展出。展览的轰动效应是几十年来所罕见的。中国美术馆开馆以来,每天的参观人数都有六七千人,上海美术馆41天则接待了26万人次。据报道,这些法国印象派画家的作品市值高达80亿元人民币(此次展览的保险总额)。这是中国有史以来推出的市场价值最高、整体艺术水平最高的一次西方绘画作品大展。法国奥塞博物馆馆长曾在上海接受采访时说,全世界收藏印象派作品最多、质量最好的当属法国奥塞博物馆,仅莫奈、雷诺阿的作品就有近200幅,幅幅都是精品。但是,为了使这次在中国展出的印象派作品更加具有代表性和系统性,法国有关部门不仅从奥塞博物馆精选了40幅
With the opening of the French Cultural Year in China, the French Impressionist Treasures Exhibition was exhibited at the National Art Museum of China and the Shanghai Art Museum from October 2004 to January 2005. The sensational effect of the exhibition is rare for decades.
