Hancheng is a famous historical and cultural city in China. The hometown of Sima Qian, the author of “Historical Records”, is located in the central part of Shaanxi Province. It has a rich cultural heritage and many murals drawn from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. These murals in Hancheng have some roots in traditional Chinese painting.
