AT & T (AT & T) is the world’s largest communications carrier and was voted America’s best company for two consecutive years in 1995 and 1996. In September 1995, Alan Allen, chairman of AT & T, announced the restructuring of the original AT & T organization into three independently listed, global companies that operate communications services, communications equipment and computer services based primarily on highly transaction-oriented transactions.
