利用姊妹种配制改良单交种,是玉米种子生产的一次重大改进。它能提高亲本生长势和产种量,降低种子生产成本,较自交系制种增产30%以上,经济效益十分明显。并可增强杂交种的抗逆性,比对应单交种略有增产。我县自1986年冬开始在海南繁殖姊妹种,到1991年共繁殖4121亩,产种558983公斤(可供制种22万亩)。向省内外提供的优质N017—12种子,使 The use of sire species to improve monostables is a major improvement in corn seed production.
