上一次和小记者们谈到了新闻最基本的一个特点,也是新闻采写中最基础的一个原则——新闻是事实(见《新闻与写作》2003年第2期)。但是,这个原则仅仅是一个底线,或者是最起码的标准,比如说并不是所有的事实都可以被登上报刊。那么到底什么样的事实可以成为新闻,什么样的事实可以放在头版头条,什么样的事实不用放在显著的位置?这次我们来谈谈新闻选择的标准,即通常所说的新闻价值。
The last time I discussed with the young reporters the most basic feature of news and the most basic principle in news writing - news is fact (see News & Writing, Issue 2, 2003). However, this principle is only a bottom line or the minimum standard. For example, not all facts can be posted on the press. So in the end what kind of facts can become a news, what kind of fact can be put on the front page, what kind of facts do not have to be prominently placed? This time we talk about the standard of news choice, which is commonly referred to as the news value .
