By measuring the fundamental frequency discrimination threshold of harmonic compound sound, it is discussed whether the perception of medium “high order harmonics ” depends on the separability of harmonics and the influence of masking sound on experimental results. Experimental Methods: When the target tone alone exists or the target tone and the masking tone are mixed, the stimulus is passed through three high, medium and low bandpass filters to obtain different harmonic separability. Experimental stimuli were designed for five fundamental frequency differences and four phase combinations. All five subjects were young, pure tone threshold ≤ 15 dB HL. The results show that the fundamental frequency discrimination threshold of harmonic compound sound increases with the frequency shift of the signal frequency band. The fundamental frequency difference of the target sound and the masking sound has a significant effect on the fundamental frequency discrimination threshold, but the phase effect is not significant. CONCLUSION: Harmonic separability has a significant effect on the discrimination threshold of fundamental frequency, but the perceived pitch of medium “higher harmonics ” does not depend on separability; and most of the perceived pitch and excited modes The peak size is closely related.
