语言是社会一切活动领域的交际工具,是民族特征之一。语言的社会功能的发挥以使用为前提。语言的社会功能受多种因素制约。决定民族语言的社会功能的主要因素不是地位本身,而是语言文字自身的社会文化价值。语言的社会功能学说是制定我国语言政策的重要科学依据,也是我们用来观察,贯彻执行语言政策的根据。开展语言功能研究,有助于正确处理汉语与民族语言之间的关系。
Language is a communicative tool in all fields of social activities and one of the national characteristics. The use of social functions of language as a prerequisite. The social function of language is governed by many factors. The main factor that determines the social function of the national language is not the status itself but the social and cultural value of the language itself. The theory of social function of language is an important scientific basis for formulating our language policy and the basis for our observation and implementation of the language policy. Research on language functions helps to correctly handle the relationship between Chinese and ethnic languages.
