赵铁生同志1914年出生于山东烟台,青年时代即投笔赴延安参加革命,为这国的解放事业作出了积极的贡献。建国后投身于冶金工业工作,曾先后担任重工业部建筑局、冶金工业部矿山司等部门的领导工作,对我国冶金矿山和钢铁工业的发展做了大量富有成效和工作。
Born in Yantai, Shandong Province in 1914, Comrade Zhao Tiesheng wrote a pen to go to Yan’an to join the revolution in his youth and made a positive contribution to the liberation cause of this country. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, he devoted himself to the metallurgical industry. He has successively held the posts of leading the Construction Bureau of the Ministry of Industry, the Mining Division of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and other departments, and has done a great deal of fruitful work and achievements in the development of the metallurgical mines and the steel industry in our country.
