在美国,各州和地区都有自己一整套独特的作文学习和指导的计划,大家都按照不同于他人的作文教学方法,进行着各种各样、丰富多采的实践。因此,要概括整个美国作文状况是很困难的事。但是通过考察有关作文教学的理论、指导书、教科书,是能够勾画出一个具有美国特点的作文教学概况的。首先,应该肯定的一点是美国的多样化作文教学是区别于他国的重要特点。虽说是多样化,但还是存在共同之处。下面,就共同点加以介绍。(一)作文教学的要求和内容:
