赫尔曼·坎特(Hermann Kant,1926—)是德意志民主共和国小说家兼政论家,生于汉堡。父亲是个园丁,曾在两次世界大战中被迫充当炮灰。母亲为人当女佣。坎特兄弟姐妹四人,他排行第二,幼年家境贫困,中途辍学,十五岁当了电工学徒,1944年12月刚出师两周就被征去当兵,1945年1月被俘。1945—1948年在波兰俘虏营中生活,1948年12月21日因病提前遣送回国,第二天即加入德国统一社会
Hermann Kant (1926-), a novelist and political commentator of the German Democratic Republic, was born in Hamburg. Father was a gardener who had been forced to act as a cannon fodder during both World Wars. Mother is a maid. Kante brothers and sisters, he ranked second, he was in poverty during his childhood, dropped out of school, and was an electrician apprentice at the age of fifteen. He was recruited as a soldier just two weeks after graduating in December 1944, and was captured in January 1945. 1945-1948 camp in Poland captivity, on December 21, 1948 sent back to the country due to illness, the second day to join the German reunification of society
