As a core course in English majors at colleges and universities, Anglo-American literature courses are currently in an awkward situation where teachers only instill literary knowledge and students are unwilling to learn. Deconstruction theory takes anti-logos centrism as its main feature, and the application of deconstruction theory in practical teaching can effectively change the status quo. Thus, on the one hand, teachers should make students understand that those comments about writers and their works are not absolute truths. When the context of the times and its theory changed greatly, previous comments would no longer be of real significance . On the other hand, teachers should guide students to understand and understand literary works rationally. In today’s complex cultural background, this method can play a significant role in establishing students’ critical thinking and cultivating the relevant ability of self-thinking.
