OBJECTIVE: It is of important practical significance that previous studies have shown that the increase of ambient temperature is related to the increase of body aggression. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the two in the highly offensive setting of the NFL. Methods: Based on the existing open database, we conducted a multivariate stratified regression analysis on the data at the race level (2326 matches). Results: In rugby competition, ambient temperature had a positive predictive effect on the offensive behavior penalty. This association was significant in the home team but not in the away team. Conclusion: The results of this study show that in rugby conditions like football, rising temperatures can lead to increased violence. In addition, the dry heat is associated with the offensive nature of the home team, which indicates that although the temperature will affect the group interaction results, the respective characteristics of the interactive groups also affect them.
