“九五”以来,湖北省襄樊市财政局在调整优化财政支出结构,确保科学、教育等法定支出的同时,主动适应市场经济发展的内在规律,积极转变理财方式,支持教科文单位充分发挥自身优势,大走资源优化配置及市场化经营发展之路。到去年底,全市所辖7个县(市)均通过了省政府组织的“普九”验收,全部被命名为全国科技工作先进县(市),连续5年获得了省政府颁发的计生责任指标达标奖,有6个县(市)进入全省文化先进行列,4个进入全国先进行列,投入380多万元的“村村通”工程圆满完成,全市广播电视混合覆盖率达98%。
