军歌的原型是《八路军进行曲》2010年是《中国人民解放军军歌》歌词创作者公木的百年诞辰纪念。公木本名张松如,曾任吉林大学副校长,是著名诗人、学者。公木曾参与修订《东方红》歌词,创作电影《桥》、《白毛女》、《英雄儿女》的主题歌歌词。2010年6月,公木夫人吴翔提供了公木创作于1939年的《八路军进行曲》歌词,以及公木上世纪60年代在吉林大学工作期间的一份《人民解放军进行曲》歌词手稿,同是一首歌,但歌词相异。
