Photography Promotes the Establishment of Yellowstone Although the Indians lived there for thousands of years, 18th-century Yellowstone was little known to white people. Early explorers just say nothing, no one believes the existence of Yellowstone. In 1860, the scientific investigation of the official United States Organization finally opened the massive veil of Yellowstone. But the scientists’ data do not convince the public.
