The Seminar on “Three Ss and Other International Friends in Shanghai” was held in Shanghai from March 4 to March 6. “Three Ss” is short for three prominent U.S. reporters SMEDLEY, STRONQ and SNOW. All three outstanding American reporters came to China in the 1920s. In the depths of the Chinese people’s disaster, they defied hardship and death and were born and die almost traveled to more than half of China.
