In March 1973, I went to Yela for advice on several issues of Chinese teaching. On March 19 of that year, on the 22nd of January, I received two replies from Ye Lao. After a lapse of ten years, review the warmth and care of Ye Lao, deeply insightful insights. “How can I count as a good language teacher?” I raised this question. Ye Lao's answer is: “When Chinese teachers want to help students develop a serious (not careless, cumbersome) reading habit,” the answer I am a little unpredictable. After these years of teaching practice, I gradually realized: “helping students to develop a good habit of reading a book seriously” is indeed the most basic responsibility of a language teacher, which is more important than instilling such knowledge of students. Because to develop the habit of reading books seriously, not by teachers whim clown for a while can be successful
