1989年12月12日,国家中医药管理局公布了1989年度中医药科学技术进步奖获奖项目,共有47项成果荣获奖励。其中一等奖4项,二等奖20项,三等奖23项。这次评审与奖励,是国家中医药管理局成立后的第一次,也是中医、中药实行统一管理、统一评审和奖励的第一次。是在初审与终审会议上,经过评审专家评议、无记名投票表决确定的。从总体看,奖励总数超过往年,而且科技水平亦有所提高。
