华东理工大学材料科学与工程学院由高分子材料系、无机材料系、材料科学与工程研究所、国防材料工程研究所和无机材料研究所组成,现设有国家超细材料工程中心、国家医用生物材料动员中心、国家级宝石检测中心、教育部超细材料制备与应用重点实验室、教育部军工复合材料科研生产基地、教育部医用生物材料工程中心、中国运动场地合成材料测试中心、上海汽车非金属材料工程研究中心和材料科学与工程博士后流动站,设有“长江学者”特聘教授岗位。现有高分子材料专业、复合材料专业、无机材料专业和材料物理专业。李世瑁教授、应圣康教授、程继键教授、胡春圃教授、周达飞教授分别担任过系主任、所长、院长,现任院长为林嘉平教授。
East China University of Science and Engineering School of Materials Science and Engineering by the Department of polymer materials, inorganic materials, Materials Science and Engineering Institute, Institute of Defense Materials Engineering and inorganic materials composition, is now equipped with the National Center for ultrafine materials engineering, national medical and biological Materials Mobilization Center, National Gem Testing Center, Key Laboratory of Preparation and Application of Ultrafine Materials of Ministry of Education, Research and Production Base of Military Composites, Ministry of Education, Medical Biomaterials Engineering Center of Ministry of Education, China Synthetic Materials Testing Center for Sports Venues, Metal Materials Engineering Research Center and Materials Science and Engineering Postdoctoral Station, with “Cheung Kong Scholar” Distinguished Professor positions. Existing professional polymer materials, composite materials, inorganic materials and materials physics professional. Prof. Li Shizhen, Prof. Ying Shengkang, Prof. Cheng Ji’jian, Prof. Hu Chunpu and Prof. Zhou Dafai respectively served as the Dean, Dean and Dean of the Department, and the current Dean is Prof. Lin Jiaping.
