王大珩先生是我们尊敬的老一辈科学家。他对我国科学技术的贡献是重大的、多方面的。他不仅是我国现代光学、包括空间光学的奠基者、领导者和推动者,同时对我国空间事业和航空事业的推动和实际贡献也是巨大的、不可磨灭的。我还没有资格全面评述王老在推动我国空、天事业中的贡献。作为晚辈,在从事空间科技方面的工作中,我有幸得到他的关心、指导和教诲,也了解一些他在推动我国空间科技和大飞机发展中的艰苦努力和重要贡献。他对祖国发展、民族振兴的高度责任心,强烈的爱国情怀,广阔和前瞻的视野,推动我国科技发展
Mr. Wang Daheng is our distinguished older generation scientist. His contribution to China’s science and technology is significant and multifaceted. He is not only the founders, leaders and promoters of modern optics in our country, including space optics, but also a great and indelible contribution to the promotion and actual contribution of China’s space and aviation undertakings. I am not yet qualified to give a comprehensive review of Wang Lao’s contribution in promoting China’s air and space industries. As a junior, I was fortunate in his work in space science and technology to get his care, guidance and education as well as to understand some of his painstaking efforts and important contributions in promoting the development of China’s space technology and large aircraft. He is highly responsible for the development of the motherland and the rejuvenation of the nation, has a strong sense of patriotism, has a broad and prospective perspective, and promotes the development of science and technology in China
