Objective: To analyze the rational use of antibacterials before and after intervention of clinical pharmacists in surgical patients. Methods: A total of 68 surgical patients admitted from December 2014 to December 2015 were selected as study subjects. They were divided into observation group and control group, 34 cases in each group. The patients in control group were treated with conventional antibiotics, and the observation group Patients in the use of antimicrobial treatment of clinical pharmacists intervention medication, compared to the two groups of patients rational use of antimicrobial drugs. Results: After the intervention, the rational use rate of antimicrobial agents in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). The hospitalization time and the cost of medicine were significantly lower than those in the control group (P> 0.05). Conclusion: The participation of clinical pharmacists in the intervention of clinical patients can effectively improve the rational use of antimicrobial drugs, reduce the treatment costs and shorten the treatment time.
