神户是依山靠海的港口城市,拥有人口150万,是日本第6大城市。从12世纪后半叶开始,在神户和中国明州(宁波)之间,日宋贸易兴旺起来。神户从此成为对中国贸易的窗口。1973年6月天津和神户结成第一个中日友好城市。现在除了神户——天津以外,神户——上海也有客船航线。 1998年4月,神户西端舞子(Maiko)架了一座世界最长的海上悬索桥(明石海峡大桥)。在这座桥畔,今年4月将要再架一座“桥梁”。
Kobe is a mountainous port city with a population of 1.5 million and Japan’s 6th largest city. From the second half of the 12th century, trade between Japan and the Soviet Union thrived between Kobe and China’s Mingzhou (Ningbo). Kobe has since become a window on China’s trade. June 1973 Tianjin and Kobe form the first Sino-Japanese friendship city. Now except Kobe - Tianjin, Kobe - Shanghai also has passenger ferry routes. In April 1998, Maiko, the longest sea suspension bridge in the world (Akashi Kaikyo Bridge) was built. Beneath this bridge, another “bridge” will be built in April this year.
