1916年出生的蒋纬国,是蒋介石名义上的次子。据蒋纬国说,蒋介石小时候就丧失了生育能力,他本人真正的生父是戴季陶。尽管如此,蒋介石对蒋纬国仍视如己出、精心栽培。1934年,18岁的蒋纬国被送进东吴大学理学院。1936年,他又被蒋介石送到德国学习军事。翌年,他进入德国第98山地兵团里服役,曾参与德军进军奥地利和捷克苏台德区。1938年,他又进入慕尼黑军校步兵科深造。
Jiang Weiguo, born in 1916, was the nominal second son of Chiang Kai-shek. According to Jiang Weiguo, Chiang Kai-shek lost his fertility as a child, and his true biological father was Dai Jitao. In spite of this, Chiang Kai-shek still treated as Chiang Kai-shek himself and carefully cultivated. In 1934, Jiang Weiguo, 18, was sent to Soochow University School of Science. In 1936, he was again sent to Germany by Chiang Kai-shek to study military. The following year, he entered the 98th German Mountain Corps service, had participated in the German march to Austria and the Czech Sudedek. In 1938 he again entered the Munich Military Infantry Division.
