紫金县教育局关工委副主任钟保良老师,热忱献身关心下一代事业,有着许多动人事迹。他从教38年,历任蓝塘、好义等中学校长,荣获全国优秀教师、紫金县十佳校长等光荣称号,被选为中国教育学协会理事。2000年秋,紫金县关工委成立后,钟老师被推荐为县关工委委员,并任县教育局关工委副主任,他还兼任了尔崧中学关工委主任、县三小关工委顾问,将自己的晚年奉献给下一代的教育事业。婉拒高薪聘请只为丹心育人钟保良老师退休后,把关心青少年作为自己最大的抱负和乐事。他冬天冒着寒风苦雨,夏季顶着炎炎烈日,自费乘车深入到全县18个镇的中小学进行思想调查,开展关心下一代工作。2000年农历12月下旬,阴雨连绵,他同县教育局关工委的同志深入到古竹、义容、南岭镇时,山区的气温已降到摄氏1至4度,师生们激动地说:钟老师,您们这种关爱敬业的精神,够我们学习一辈子,也会鼓舞我们一辈子。
